About me

Bianca van der Werf was born in The Hague in The Netherlands where she studied Architectural Design at the Royal Academy of Arts. She worked for many years as an interior designer before her passion turned into photography and jewelry design.

Her style is raw and unpolished and perhaps to the viewers perception the look is damaged. Bianca has always been fascinated by other cultures, history and decay. This is visible in all of her designs and photography.

Working with different kinds of clays and ceramics, fine silver, metals and the treasures of nature, she wants her jewelry to be unique and timeless. It has to mean something, tell a story and make a statement for the person wearing it. Pieces that look like they have emerged from the ground through natural processes. She makes many components herself which is the most exciting part of the process.

Over the years she has collected many fossils, beautiful beads, shells and bones from all over the world. Roaming through nature is one of her favourite things to do.

Bianca believes that every item holds an energy of some kind. The energy and healing properties of the natural stones and the energy of blessing and love that she infuses in every piece. So you can wear this every day..
